Re: 99 Safari fuel and or electrical problem.
That is the part. Is it a knock sensor? I have been to 6 different auto part stores and they don't show that part. this is what I came up with http://webcaps.ecomm.gm.com/servlet/com.entigo.acdelcocatalog.servlet.ProcessImageServlet?languagecd=EN&countrycd=CA&user=InternetUser&mfgname=AC...

Re: 99 Safari fuel and or electrical problem.
I went through all the years after 97 at the auto parts store. This is what the part should look like on all those years. I'm at a total loss.. http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc1/atomcrawford/Screenshot2012-07-24at24058PM.png That looks a lot like a 2000 knock sensor. Check the condition o...

Re: 99 Safari fuel and or electrical problem.
Not that great a photo but it is the bolt with the little green dot on top. That is where everything says the knock sensor should go. To the right is the oil sensor and upper right is distributor. Any ideas? Thanks, Atom... http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc1/atomcrawford/ks.jpg :-k Some photos w...

Re: 99 Safari fuel and or electrical problem.
Having major problems with this. So I bought the new knock sensor. Brass looking round item with threads coming out the bottom and a plastic piece on top where a single wire attaches. Looks just like every pic I have seen of a KS. The place that this is supposed to mount according to the manual and ...

Re: 99 Safari fuel and or electrical problem.
I must be an idiot  I can't find the Knock sensor on my van. The manual says near the Distributor? No luck at all. Any ideas? Just use google (or you favorite search engine) to look the codes up. P0131 and P0151 are oxygen sensor codes and P0327 is a knock sensor code. The symptoms you des...

Re: 99 Safari fuel and or electrical problem.
Just ran the codes
Codes showing up are P0131, P0151, P0327 (is there a place I can find what the codes represent?)
Thanks again, Atom...

Re: Can I do a 2 inch lift without using the Overland Vans k
I ordered the 2 inch lift from OLV. Heavy duty shocks also. Stock leaf springs from Safari are rated for more weight than the S-10 springs suggested in the link above. The S-10 springs are just arched more thus creating the lift. I'll see how it all works out. Thanks again, Atom... I hope you went w...

Re: Can I do a 2 inch lift without using the Overland Vans k
Thanks again everyone, After reading all the responses and links and chatting with other folks I decided to use the 2 inch kit from Overland after all. Gerald was really helpful via email and that sealed the deal for me. I don't mind spending a bit more money to support his business. He is a cool gu...

Re: Can I do a 2 inch lift without using the Overland Vans k
Thanks everyone for the reply's and info.
Looks like I will be buying some extended leaf springs and 2 inch spacers for the front. I hate Rancho shocks, piece of crap in my opinion. So any other shock recommendations out there? And will stock size still work? Thanks again. Atom...

Can I do a 2 inch lift without using the Overland Vans kit?
Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum and have a lift question. My van is a 99 GMC Safari AWD. Is it possible to get 2 inches of lift using something other than the Overland Van kit? I'm going to stay with the stock 15 inch rims and want to add a bigger tire. I'll also be carrying a dirtbike on the re...
