If you have the extra cash you can...
I wouldn't. I prefer using the torque wrench like you do.

Re: what's your 'dream' van?
Rob, you could plan on seeing that 1st van you mention this summer at Vanfest (and it's in Ontario). The owner, Puddin' is a real cool guy and loves his Astro's. He's just not a forum kind of guy. I would like to meet you too. So check it out: http://vanfest.vandomain.com/ And by the way... I'm guil...

Actually this guy:
,actor William Fichtner, really looks like Peter.
So everytime we watch prison break, we're like: "Hey, it's peter!"

Re: Rollpan Install ??
Matt, you know the mail doesn't run from Canada this far south. Now what have you got going on ? Oh I know,,the composite springs didn't last as long as you thought they should, you're sending them back and want a refund. :muhaha: Actually, they're working fine but I'm not crazy about the colour......

Re: Rollpan Install ??
Well the new pan finally arrived yesterday, haven't had a chance to check it out as far as fit yet but the lasor cuts for the LED's are perfect and they cut the relief pie shapes across the top of the 90* bend and didn't weld them up. By not welding them ,this will allow the pan to be curved to fit...

Re: I can't figure out who owns this van.
The white and orange van is Puddin's. He's not really an internet guy. He will go every so often on Vandomain.com. He's a cool fellow. I assume he will be at Vanfest this weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing him. He did buy it from e-bay in the states. Very cool van! http://www.showtrux.com/events...

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y285/dunedog/camper.jpg If I could get Matt or Peter to find me one of these up in Quebec,it would be my choice. They don't produce the top for the Astro/Safari size van anymore [-( Jim, I went to visit their plant a looong time ago. Before I joined the site (the fi...

BTW, I also got polyurethane end links and sway bar bushings from Carquest and they seemed to be polyurethane too. I think they were almost the same price as Energy suspension though...

Re: Astro AWD Rallycross
I'm sorry... I don't want to seem rude but I don't understand the logic. Why can a guy worried about gas mileage (a few dollars a week) be interested in participating in a competition which, in my limited knowledge, should imply damage to the vehicule and excessive wear to it's components? This dama...

Re: Cheap Big Brakes
Which ones? 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, 4x4...You can bolt the big calipers on the RWD vans.
On AWD it's clear: 3/4 ton 4x4.
RWD has always been sketchy in my mind.

Ok then, when my bushings start squeaking, I will add a grease nipple to them.
Just double checking my post to make sure there's no double meanings that could give Peter material...
