Re: bunch of questions.
Check out this guys build, albeit the older model, same stuff applies: http://www.astrosafari.com/viewtopic.php?f=127&t=130 I've run 20" wheels, and currently 18x8 225/45 18s. Just drop spindles up front, 2 link with panhard on the rear with bag over axle. Not the worlds greatest setup, but...

Re: New Project Safari...
Very cool man, what kind of drop did you go with spindles or coils up front. I'm guessing since you said 2.5 I'm thinking belltech drop coils. And rear flip kit or drop leafs? Keep up the good work.

Re: New muffler!
Unfortunately right after I designed that catback for the shop that now sells them I got laid off by them... I won't say anymore, but I do like the mufflers.

Re: New muffler!
Good luck with the install. If you or anyone else wants to try a different kind of muffler try FULL BOAR Max Flow SS muffler. I have had probably 10 different brand mufflers over the years such as Flowmaster, Gibson, Magnaflow, Spintech, Cherrybomb, etc. Similar to a Flowmaster 2 chamber in idle sou...

Re: 20x8.5's on an Astro? Will they fit?
Make sure you aren't spending more than $736 for the set with FREE SHIPPING. That is 20x8.5 5x5. Unless you are going polished/chrome. Black or gray center should cost you no more than that. Check Tire-easy.com for some tires and maybe you won't have to wait to get the package together.

Re: 20x8.5's on an Astro? Will they fit?
Short answer is yes they fit no problem. Long answer is, 18" Boss 338 wheels did not have the correct hub bore, so I had to run a 1/4" spacer up front to clear dust cap, they obviously clear fine on the rear drums, but I put the 1/4 spacer on there as well so the would match up front using...

Re: Big Orange
It's been snowing since 10am here, ain't gonna stop for a few more hours. But it's likely only gonna be a dusting, ie: 2inches. Got the snow tires on just in time! \:D/ Can't wait to get some fresh black carpet in there, some Edead, and rear air tow kit. Oh and maybe a truck air horn kit.... And dye...

Re: Big Orange
Okay here are the seat pics, just snapped them down in the garage here at work. Notes, I grinded the stock sliders off the astro base. That took all of 10 minutes with the 4" angle grinder. Then I simply tacked the base to the sliding tracks of the PT Seats. Don't mind the welding, I only have ...

Big Orange
Not sure what to call this van so I will go with Big Orange for now since the old one was Big Blue. Anyway, been a while since I have really been able to post. Went through being in the hospital for a few weeks, wife getting cancer, losing my job, etc etc. Working at a Performance shop, getting let ...
