Re: Since orders are electronically processed, we do not exchang

@Brutalis Next time you might want to try http://www.rockauto.com/ , me and some other folks here in the german 'stro-forum had a pretty good experience with them, and delivery happens to be really fast at times. On one occassion I passed an online-order on Wednesday at 22:00 and the parts were deli...

Re: JCWhitney Airsprings

one guy over here (Derek - the european) had an issue with tires rubbing on the airbag, he has 255 wide tires on BMW X5 rims with adapters and this setup showed to bring the wheel a little bit to much inwards, in consequence he had a new set of wheel-adapters made.... this said, you might want to ch...

A/C with e-fans

This is a question to those who switched to all-electric rad-fans:

How did you guys setup switching of fan(s) regarding A/C operation?
Always on when A/C is on?
Or only when compressor is on?
Or when pressure (=temp) in the A/C-system reaches a certain point?
Or any other option?

Thanks

Re: air bags with composite springs

The thread is old but I thought this might be of general and timeless interest: Airlift also make a kit for the Astros 'til 95 with the composite springs. Actually the installations instructions linked in the first post of this thread are for this airbag-kit. SANY5650 (Medium).JPG SANY5654 (Medium)....

Re: Anyone running AirLift bags...

@LaGrasta
Switching to Firestone "Ride-Rite" airbags might be an (expensive) alternative,
they are sitting on the axle.

(ignore the "cargo" note, I've read elsewhere that they work ok)

Re: New addition to the Harper Family

Congrats.... joined - this won't surprise anyone - by my wife =D> Very good choice indeed, just installed a Jet Performance chip today and this mod definitely rocks. But we don't want to bore the ASV-folks with Chrysler-tales, do we? And no, no lift planed :D Enjoy! PS just to show that we manage so...

Re: You can run your AstroSafari on propane gas....But why?

I beleive that the pic is the underside of an Astro, actually. Correct! @GnarliSafari, sorry for not beiing sufficiently concise st4s, what mods did you do to run propane on both the Astro and the Nitro. Welcome aboard, by the way! \:D/ Huuh, reading & understanding a foreign language is much e...

Re: You can run your AstroSafari on propane gas....But why?

where the hell do you install a large propane tank in an Astro? http://astrosafarivans.org/bb2/download/file.php?id=172 Net capacity (=80% of gross capacity) is approx. 76l My wife's Nitro is also converted to propane and the tank is mounted likewise in place of the spare wheel. Propan is currently...

Re: radiator and dual fans

As does the Bentely GT (and yes, I know that the Bentley isn't german). Hmmh, I (partly) disagree on this one. Bentleys are still assembled on the old Rolls-Royce production-site in Crewe (England) and they still make some models (Brooklands, Arnage, Azur) technically based on earlier Rolls-Royces ...

Had to grind to make them fit.
Pic shows before grinding with plastic-cover already shortened.
I forgot to take a pic afterwards, I'll post one tomorrow..

General Tire is now a subsidiary of Continental Tire, a german manufacturer http://www.generaltire.com/generaltire/ I have a new set of Grabber AT2 in 235/75-15 waiting to be mounted. I just need to finish the installation of the 2"-lift-kit first this WE. I'll post my first impressions in a co...
