Re: 2000 awd astro spare tire holder?
Thanks dune dog! I have the whole unit off the 2000! I will hopefully just take the unit of of my dead (for the moment) 98 and switch. it was four stubborn bolts 13mm and a shove from where you would lower the spare from! took a little lubricant and a lot of elbow grease mixed with some curses!

2000 awd astro spare tire holder?
Is broken. That little cured piece at the end of the cabl;e that holds the spare up. Is there a fix? Do I have to replace the whole assembly? is that even possible? Talk to me, Cant ride without a spare and the interior is very light!

Re: Lifting your AWD astro/safari
Ok so definitely the add a leaf. The 2 inch is a better option for me as it is my daily driver. You sold it to Lock Doc? That was nice of you! How do you feel without an astro. My oil lines ruptured on me two weeks ago, I was unsure what the problem was at first and my wife asked me what would I do ...

Re: Lifting your AWD astro/safari
Dan is actually looking to sell Overland. So if there are any capable fabricators out there that also love Safari/Astros then check it out. For all those who are curious I called and asked about the 8 inch lift kit with the intent of not using the body spacers. I was only going for the 4 inches. My ...

Re: Lifting your AWD astro/safari
Ok let me ask you a couple questions first. 1. What size tires are you planning on running? 2. Are you planning to regear both diff's? 3. If not are you prepared to install a new tranny? 4. How are you going to get around the NJ inspection requirements? (I am under the impression they are VERY stri...

Re: my top door is stuck
Tried the push from inside option, and from the looks of it i cant access the trim screws while the door is closed. I was hoping for something before I try to break it!

Re: Lifting your AWD astro/safari
He is only selling the kits that dont require him to weld, or at least thats how jis email read to me. I was looking to get the 8 inch kit and not use the body spacers as i am not looking for that much of a lift.
