Re: how my stro looks know
I was wondering if you could repost the pictures of your hood. It says they have been deleted....

Re: having some cooling issues.
I have a question....Socalli said to use a rad from a 92 truck. What size rad is it? A wider rad then stock will interfere with the ac lines. I am curious to see how it fits in..

Re: V-8 Radiator. Help me Please
I finally have an update. I got the problem fixed. As I said before my van always ran at around 225 deg and sometimes a bit higher but never fully overheating. I blamed the radiator because it was a "cheapo" from a no name parts store. I replaced it with the "Heatbuster" from Aut...

Re: What headers fit the 91 awd astro's?
They should fit all the awd vans. When I did my conversion I called Racecraft Conversions. They told me the Flow Tech is the header they use for all their conversion.

Re: V8 Swap/Opinions
I got mine smogged without a problem. As long as you have all the smog equipment that came on the motor you are putting in. The smog refferee is no problem. If you have any problems let me know.

Re: V-8 Radiator. Help me Please
After reading all the replies I have decided to change the radiator. I checked the rotation of the water pump. From standing in front of the van, it is turning counter clockwise. The specs on the water pump states it rotates counter clockwise. I think I am good there. Everything else checks out OK. ...

Re: V-8 Radiator. Help me Please
I was doing some research today... The stewart pump I used rotates counterclockwise. I used the stock acc drive that was on the van. What direction should it be turning? 92 safari w/cpi.

Re: V-8 Radiator. Help me Please
Wow thanks for all the replies To do the conversion I used "Racecraft Conversions" manual and I followed it almost to a T. I used a Stewart Stage 1, cast iron high volume, 1987-95 5.7l water pump. I used the stock fan (could that be the problem?) with a heavy duty fan clutch. The fan is pu...

V-8 Radiator. Help me Please
I need clarification on which radiator to use. I have a 1992 safari cpi to v-8 conversion. Everything went smooth during the conversion and it runs great. The only issue I have is with the cooling. I am running a basiclly stock 5.7 (bored 30 over) block, a hi flow water pump, 180 deg hi flow thermos...
