Re: Power take off transmission

I don't know if this is of any help, but the NP241HD transfer case that was an option in Dodge 2500's and standard in duallies has a pto output. It has a cover over it from the factory. My 98 2500 has one. Note: it has to be the 241 "HD" to have the PTO. I've contemplated (briefly) bed mou...

Re: 1993 AWD Safari (new guy)

Well, I sold this one in less than one day for $2000, maybe I should ask more. Oh well, I'm happy if I can make what I need to make and someone else gets a good deal. I like it when everyone walks away happy!

Re: 1991 H.O.

Just found out I might be getting this one back. It was left non-running at a foreclosed home. I'm working on it........

Re: 1993 AWD Safari (new guy)

I am in Amo, Indiana. That's just west of Indianapolis. If all goes well, I'll be offering 30mpg Cummins powered vans in the future!

Re: pics of my 1994 $500 AWD beater

Sorry to thread drift, but......It is a little odd that I've had about a dozen Astro's, none with G80's and yet about half of the vans at PAP have them.

Re: $250 1992 Astro

Well, they don't always go that well. The hardest part to learn was to be able to walk away from a deal if the profit wasn't in it, no matter how much I liked it or wanted it. Don't buy on emotion.

1991 H.O.

Here's another of my previous vans, long gone now. Had the H.O. engine, ran pretty strong, but I think the CPI in my 1993 is stronger. http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s253/ellabilt/astroint.jpg http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s253/ellabilt/astro4.jpg http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s253/ell...

I don't know what part of Ohio that is, but I was at pic-a-part Indianapolis Friday and got a seat out of an AWD with 3.73's but no G80, plenty of other G80's there though.

$250 1992 Astro

Here's one of my previous vans. I bought this one for $250. Had $600 in it when it was ready to sell. Sold it in one day for $1400. I love deals like that! http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s253/ellabilt/burgopen.jpg http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s253/ellabilt/burg4.jpg http://i154.photobucket...

1993 AWD Safari (new guy)

Here's a couple pictures of my 1993 Safari AWD. Just got it ready for resale, but it turned out so nice, I thought I'd share it with y'all.

Re: Rebuilding G80

Okay, now I'm starting to understand this a little better. G80 is GM's option code for limited slip, regardless of vehicle or actual manufacturer of the limited slip differential (i.e. my G80 diff in my 2500 Suburban is obviously not the same as an Astro G80) So........the Astro G80 could be of a co...

Re: Rebuilding G80

I'm going to have to pull one at the yard and check it out. If it's a clutch type, like a ford trac-lok, it should be serviceable if parts can be found. If they are cone type like an auburn, probably not. Just curious if anyone here had looked into one and knew for sure.

Anyone rebuild a G80 diff? Or are they considered disposable?

Re: New member from Indy checking in

Welcome Brad. Post up LOTS of pics about that Cummins swap. Many here have wondered and even one has started a diesel swap but no one has completed it! Thanks for the welcome guys! I'll definitely document the swap. Being a fabricator, my plan is to sort out everything that needs to be fabbed for t...
