well i didnt get a new fuse to try that method. but i did pull every fuse out and its still shorting with them all gone. maybe a helpful clue?

i blew the fuse on the meter my dumbass set it on amps and connected the the leads to the positive and negative terminals on the battery. first time for everything i guess.
