Re: Dexcool - keep or flush and swap?

Orange Dexcool is a modern day , long-life coolant. It's what GM puts in new vehicles.
If you want a clean reservoir, you'll have to remove it and scrub it out.

This is my flushing process. (it's for an Astro, but should be similar for your van):

Re: electric heating in the floor?

No, because it would never work. Electric heaters use too much power. And even if you ran a generator to power it, you would just be losing too much heat to the outside.
Diesel heater is the most popular solution.

Re: 05 GM Savana 2500 4.8

This van uses electronic ignition , so it doesn't have a distributor, but you can try spraying some water on the secondary components (coils and wires) in the dark and watch for arcing. Removing the catalytic converter is against Federal law, and therefor illegal in all States. Fines can be thousand...

Re: rear end

information about swapping out a drum break rear end for disk brake. For most people drum brakes are sufficient for the job Unless you're doing heavy duty towing, swapping isn't worth it and you won't notice an improvement. -rear drums last 3x longer than disc -they need less servicing, no pins or ...

Re: CB Radio mounting location

Look for a structural mounting spot like a roof support beam. (not the roof skin). Then bend some metal into a custom bracket and attach with sheet metal screws.

Re: Speedometer

possibilities are:
- bad cable
- bad installation
- bad speedo gear in the tranny
- bad gauge

I would look at the cable while in motion and see if it's jerky/binding.

Hi Jimmy. Welcome to the forum. Please do not post Savana questions in the Astro section. Thanks. I'll move it to "Express & Savana" for you. There are many causes for misfires. While you're in there scanning codes, always check your fuel trims, MAF rate, and other live data. As well a...

Hi Isaac. Welcome to the forum. I don't know why you posted the same thing 4 different times , in 3 forum sections (none of which were the correct section). Please don't do that. Once is enough. Thanks. I'll clean it up for you this time, and move it to the right place. Anyway, sounds like you have ...
