Re: AWD Torsion Bar Question
OK read all of the post in this thread and I am still confused. I bought a 95 astro for $350.00 with a broken torsion bar on the drivers side. so what is best way to get the broken piece out of the indexing key. does it go forward or backward. Never done one of these before.

Re: Body to subframe bushings
I to have looked on line for after market frame to body bushings with no success. The only place I could find bushings is the local GM dealer ship. And if I remember correctly the cost was around $200.00dollars. If you find some please let everybody know. I to would like to do the same thing.

Re: '93 sliding door repair
I would make a plate bigger than the piece that broke out. replace rollers adjust door than weld the plate in place as far as the rollers go any savage yard or dealership.

Re: project ratstro
Maybe I missed this somewhere in your post. I see you put the new style front clip om your astro. I have a 1993 gmc safari I want to put a new style front end on it. Did the front end just bolt on or was there some modifications. All info will be appreciated. By the way awesome build. Thanks for all...

Re: sas 93 safari

I'm thinking 31" or 33" tires. Sorry I didn't put that in my original post.

Re: Body mounts
Does anyone have a GM part number for subframe mounts for the astro. The dealership in my area does not show a part number for them they say they are obsolete.

Re: Body mounts
The reason I'm trying to find body mounts is. The ones in the ones in the van are toast and the subframe I got don't have any. So I figure if I have to buy them why not get polyurethane mounts if they can be found that is.

Re: Can the catalytic converter be eliminated?
My astro came with a 3" exhaust and 2 1/2" tail pipe on a 4.3. If I had it to do again I would have left my cat on. I was getting 23 mpg before and now get 20 and its a slug used to zip. But thats just my opinion. With 3" exhaust theres not enough back pressure with out a cat.
