Re: How to wire up a NP 236 in place of a 136.
I am totally geeking out over this ESI info. The 4wd Lo signal to the PCM: 2005-2003 are 2 connectors, blue and green, Pin 16 on Connector 2 (green) as discussed 2002-2001 are 2 connectors, blue and red, Pin 16 on Connector 2 (red) 2000-1999 are 4 connectors, blue, red, clear, black, Pin 23 on Conne...

It downloaded after all...racrx7 wrote:If you can find it on ESI that you are downloading, maybe you can share it?
Here's the schematic for a 2005 Blazer with NV236... It appears to have the same connectors on the PCM as we do and again confirms Pin 16 on Connector 2 (Green)

Re: How to wire up a NP 236 in place of a 136.
WOW!!! How did I miss that??!! That diagram is for the older PCM's, which I guess were called "VCM's", that used the older style 4 connectors instead of our two connector 80pin setups. And yes, I have the blue and green connectors on my '03. SOOOOOO, you'll connect F7-C1 from the TCCM TO ...

Re: How to wire up a NP 236 in place of a 136.
It should be the right one. It will of course be empty on the connector in your van. I just pulled a spare pin from an old harness, along with the wire on it, disassembled my 80 pin connector and installed the scavenged pin. Then connect that wire to your TCCM. That's what I was thinking, would hav...

Re: How to wire up a NP 236 in place of a 136.
Congrats and welcome to the NP236 TC club :supz: Hmmm, are you referring to the ECM not having the same pinout? I coulda sworn there was no difference between '03 and'05. But I could be mistaken. Look at this link below, and scroll down to the 2003-2005 C2 connector of the PCM harness. Pin #16 is t...

Re: How to wire up a NP 236 in place of a 136.
Hi, new member here, been lurking and soaking up the knowledge. Many thanks to captn and racrx7 for putting this together, especially the diagrams. A few months back after I lifted and threw on some 31” tires I burnt up the 3-4 clutches in the 4l60e. So I decided while I was rebuilding the tranny I ...
