Re: Went to a mechanic... VERY dissappointed
This LED theory sounds like it could be pretty cool. What went through my head is that you could actually affix an led by the timing mark, attach the wires, all with the engine off. Start up the engine and just look down, hands free. That would be awesome. We might have something here!

Re: Sending items via Canada Post
Again, I ask what does the privatization of the Canadian post and the capitalism demonstrated by private companies have to do with you accusing me (US) of calling you a communist? That's like me saying "Thank God I'm not in Canada, I'd have to speak french and join the PQ." It's just not t...

Frankly, I'm glad you are not here either. But WTF is that statement supposed to mean? You need to watch what you write.timelessbeing wrote: I'm just glad I'm not in the US, where we would be called "communists".

Re: Sending items via Canada Post
Sounds like UPS here in the states. Our shop is a pick up point so we can ship for others and charge whatever we like if we chose to do so. I would guess it is the same in Canada.

I sooo can't wait to see this thing running. Like said before, you HAVE to get a good audio\video clip of it running. This will be one of the coolest things I've seen yet. If I'm not mistaken, that engine is one of those loud, let's you know it's a deisel. People will be thinking they got a bus pull...

I believe SoCalli V8 fit a full size PU rad in his 89. I don't know much about diesel engine cooling but I assume they get hotter, quicker than gas engines with all that compression. I don't see the stock radiator pulling off the job. They barely cool down a 350. I mean barely. If I'm wrong and they...

I see you cut the injector wires off. I guess you are going with a carbed V8 rather than a TBI?

How long have your shackles been in? Seems too soon for them to wear out like that. I'll have to check mine out. I don't think I would want to order the same ones that were in there.

Re: Trimming wheel wells for 30" tires
Nice job. Did you trim any at the rear? Most people need to. Unfortunately you don't realize you needed to untill your are stopped at the bottom of a hill facing up. When you take off going up there is a likely chance of axle wrap that occurs which brings the rear wheel towards the front of the van ...

Re: anti lock brake question
I just want to clear up some info on ABS on these vans. If your van is a 1992 or older and it has 4 wheel ABS, you will have a sensor at each rear wheel as well as the fronts. (I think this is correct. There may be some carryover into 93 or 94 as I am not 100% sure) There is a reluctor ring pressed...
