Re: Stupid Shorts! AC/heater fan this time...

Sorta, I have not had a chance to dig in and check it out. Then it started working fine again. I'll still check all the connections, but unless there is something obvious it will be tough to find a short that is not shorting. I'll keep all you posted...

Re: Stupid Shorts! AC/heater fan this time...

Long winded but brilliant if it works... I guess I do have a back story, I went rafting a few weeks back (yes rafting, in Oregon in January...) and one of the girls (yes, we even convinced girls that it would be fun) on the trip came out pretty cold by the end. She sat in the front seat with the hea...

Re: Stupid Shorts! AC/heater fan this time...

All speeds, when it works it works fine, when it does not work there is nothing. I have turned it to off and left it there hoping something would reset, no luck... I was thinking it had something to do with the dash lights being on or not since my lady is typically in the van with me at night ;-), b...

Stupid Shorts! AC/heater fan this time...

So the front AC/Heater fan works intermittently. Can't figure out any rhyme of reason, my lady says it only works when she is not in the van and she may be on to something. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't work. When it works, it works just fine. When it doesn't it work there is no fan at...

Re: Covering Rear Windows for Camping

If you are going for "grow house" quality privacy then tin foil on the window is the way to go... I prefer curtains, there are a few ways you can do it. If you are good at sewing then make pockets at the top and bottom of the curtain the string it with bungie cord and attach the bungie to ...

Re: Started the "overnighter" additions the weekend.

Very nice setup, I may have to steal some parts of the bed idea... As for the bucket... er Groover, as we like to call it on the river. I suggest picking up a gamma seal, http://www.amazon.com/Gamma-Lid/dp/B000M5SI2A . If will make the whole thing air/liquid tight just in case there is a bag rupture...

Re: dual battery setup? anyone have one or know how to do th

I'm open to other opinions. It worked fine for six weeks running my fridge. The first time I enclosed it, it started leaking. Took the cover off and it stopped... Nothing else changed. I figured it did not have enough venting and could not figure out a good way to vent it from the current location.

Re: dual battery setup? anyone have one or know how to do th

I put one in a few months back. I decided to house it in the spare jack compartment. It works well back there, but I did spend s mint running battery cables all the way back. The battery does not sit flush in the box, so I built a new cover, it works great. I did a rookie mistake and bought a deep c...

Re: Tribri1 can you provide some more info on the Iphone-Sca

You can read and reset trouble codes as read all the info that is pulled through the OBDII. I bought the cable through Amazon for $100. Picked up two Apps for free, GoPoint and mpgLINK. You can check them out in the App store for details... There is also an App for $50, I didn't buy it, but I get al...

I use this, http://gopointtech.com/ with my iPhone. I only hook it up when I am diagnosing or bored while driving... If you have an iPad or a Touch you could use it full time.

Re: Mass Air Sensor Error

Let me think, timing... That could be, no instructions for that either for vehicles newer than '94... I gave it the beating with a screwdriver test and no stumbling. I hate to just throw parts at it, but I may start with the simple cap, rotor, plugs and wires fix and see what happens. Fortunately en...
