Well there goes a hour of my life damn you YouTube!!! Cool video of the cart I can't beleive he didn't get busted ripping right through town like that. If you went through town here that many times some one would have called you in for sure.

Re: High idle fix

Thanks for posting this I have never heard of the cruise control causing a high idle. I never would have looked at it thinking of its turned off it isn't a problem. Good piece of advice you never know when you might need it.

Re: Confused Towing

Stock tow package has the 3:73 gears. My van is the touring edition so I think the back might be extra soft for a better ride. I chose bags because they are there when you want them for towing but when running around the rest of the time I just run 20psi to level the rear of the van. To find the axl...

Re: Confused Towing

The factory tow pack came with the 3:73 rear end if you have a taller rearend that will lower your towing capacity. I added airlift bag to the back of my van and that made a huge difference. I found the old single leads were way better than the steel leafs in the newer vans. I was pretty upset that ...

Re: Confused Towing

I tow a 24 foot 4500lbs travel trailer with my van no problem. It isn't fast but I'm not in a hurry. I tow in drive not overdrive and dont go above 90kph it will go faster but your starting to rev fairly good and I don't like doing that to my van.

Re: need electrical help please!

Check the wires on the o2 sensor in the exhaust if there are 3 wires then someone changed the sensor and put in a heated o2. They work better as the early vans ran the sensor a little cold and they fail alot. This could be why the wire doesn't appear on the schematic. If you only have one wire going...

Re: Maybe I'm nuts...............

Air brakes are more powerful but that is due to the size of the parts. Also you are limited to how many times you can brake by how much air you have in the tank. When the air pressure drops the spring brakes come on and you don't move. Plus air brakes need to be adjusted daily and greased regularly ...

Re: Maybe I'm nuts...............

Yup your nuts. There would be no benifit to putting air brakes on. There are alot of moving parts and they don't have the feel and response time of hydrolic brakes.

We love ya thou I mean who else would think of things like this. :poke:

Re: Bent Frame

If they are paying the repairs and beefing up I would do that. The net cost to you is zero but they will not hand you $3000 to go truck shopping. The other thing is at least you know the issues with your truck but you might be into new and different headaches with a new to you used truck.

Re: Need urgent help no brakes stuck on top of giant hill

I just did a quick search and they made s-10 pickups in the brazil market so maybe they have them there chances are the master cylinder would be the same but I don't know about the rear brakes.

Re: Need urgent help no brakes stuck on top of giant hill

I don't think you can patch a master cylinder. If they have a Chevy dealer and if you can get a part number off the master cylinder and off the other broken parts hopefully they can cross reference the parts off something else. The good thin with Chevy is they order a billion parts and then throw th...

Re: Need urgent help no brakes stuck on top of giant hill

Usually if its stiff it's stiff it shouldn't hit the floor with the engine off or on. When the engine is running the pedal will always be a little softer because of the power brakes. It sounds like you might have blown the master cylinder seal. That is very common when you loose pressure because the...

Re: Need urgent help no brakes stuck on top of giant hill

Pump the pedal several times to compress the air in the lines it should stiffen up at the pedal. If it never stiffens up and just hits the floor you have a leak in the system somewhere. Once you pump the pedal stiff keep pressure on the pedal with a stick or the jack against the seat. Then you could...
