Hi,

Sounds like trouble. Low rpm idle in gear. Check IAC idle air circuit.

Do You Tube search .

Check for P codes if Check engine light is on . Use scan reader $50 ,or go to AutoZone or O Reilly for free scan,

Check for vacuum leaks, check for dirty air filter, TPS, throttle position sensor,

Does it run if you rev it up when you shift into Drive.

Good luck.

Bad battery? When you put it in gear, the idle temporarily drops and so does the alternator's output. If battery is bad, the alternator may drop below acceptable running voltage. Just a simple suggestion to look at.

Obviously (according to what you wrote)... if you have to "jump it" each time, then it would seem you have a bad battery.
I would start there first (no pun intended)

Coincidentally, this is how we used to "test" alternators in the "old days"... start the car, turn on the headlights (for extra load), rev it up a little, then disconnect battery. If the car stalled, the alternator was either weak or bad. If it kept running, that meant that the alternator was keeping up with the demand...without the aid of the battery.

Perfect thank you. The battery is only two years old, so I tried to say nah that can't be it's got to be something else. Makes perfect sense.
