7.2 posi units!!!

Post by Captn. Crunch »

A few years ago during my never ending cyber quest for neat stuff to do to my van, I found a guy who makes posi units for front wheel drive cars. I remember thinking "close but no cigar." Last week while lurking on an S-10 forum I came across a post from the same fellow who has expanded his posi line to include our "beloved" aluminum 7.2" IFS differential. I called Engineered Performance and spoke with Jeff for quite some time in regards to our 7.2's and his posi unit. He seemed very up to speed on the limitations of the 7.2 and was more than happy to explain just how he has engineered this piece to taylor fit the defficiencies we have been dealing with all these years. For about the same price as the Richmont lockright locker we can get a streetable posi. I am excited! So if you are looking to power up your front end, I think this is the ticket! Here is the link to the post http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f13/new-l ... ff-514090/ and here is the link to EP http://www.engineered.net/ I just want to say that I am planning on one but have neither bought nor installed this yet so I have no facts good or bad-just new information for us to digest.
During our conversation I told him I would put the word out to my fellow AWDers so if you call tell him you heard it from Captn. Crunch

I would be curious if installing a LS into the front of the AWD's would cause a binding issue. I know a locker will, but this may just be the ticket! Who's gonna be first? :muhaha:
