OBDII trouble codes

Post by MountainManJoe »

Has anyone seen a list of GM enhanced OBD-II parameter ID's, specific to the Safari/Astro?
How about a list of trouble codes?
I just got a Scanguage2 as a gift, and would like to have a list handy.

Yeah, I have a little booklet that I made with all the codes I could find on the net. Anyone that wants it just shoot me an email and I'll send it to you.

Maybe a mod could make it available for download from the site.

I found out the DTC's are actually listed in my Hanes manual, and you can get the PID's from the scanguage website.

Great links, v8famvan!

I tried adding the engine torque data to my guage but that didn't work, but tranmission fluid temparature did. I thought Astros didn't have that sensor because I've read of other people installing them. It will come in handy when I'm climbing those steep rough mountain roads or going through snow. Anybody know what the normal range of temperatures is?

Above 200 degrees F and you better be taking it easy. If you have full synthetic fluid, above 230 and you gotta let off.
Current rides:
2013 Toyota Tundra DC 4x4
2008 Dodge Nitro 4x4
2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8S Special Edition

Mileage spreadsheet

Vans owned:
1986 Safari 2.5L 4 speed manual - scrapped
1995 Astro 2WD conversion 4.11 posi, shift kit, DHC rock rails - sold to Skippy
1998 Astro 4x4 D44, D60, NP231, full hydraulic system with 9k# Milemarker winch and snow plow - sold to Lockdoc
2003 Astro AWD all stock - traded for a 3/4 ton truck
2005 AWD, 4.10's - sold to skippy
