Yes, its a bunch cheaper to just buy the pump, without a res. Its easy enough to change it out.
Pretty sure the ones that have an external res are the same design of pump in a different shape container.
Getting the pullly off is the challenge! You need a pulley puller.
If you blew yours up doing donuts like I did, then you didn't really need a pulley puller....

I drove mine home 30+ miles of driving(90 miles of towing) and the thing held together till i removed the belt, then the pulley just slipped out, Shaft and all. :muhaha:
