ran into a snag-help please!

Post by markmitchinnh »

Ok I am doing the 4.3 to 5.7 swap and on the pass side cylinder head there is a sensor on the V6 and on the V8 there is a plugged hole (threaded) I took the plug out and tried the sensor but its to small. Anyone know what this sensor is and is the V8 sensor bigger? Thanks to anyone with info on this. Mark

buy an adapter for the pipe, should be easy to source. If I remember correctly, I had to buy one when I did the swap. If you have the sensor off the 350, it will be compatible if it plugs into your harness which it should (they pretty much all use a spade terminal)

the sensor is on the other side on the 350 so I just had to put a threaded plug into the hole on the 350 head. Thanks for your assistance Mr_ Roboto

it does not fit on the water neck on top of intake manifold, The V8 intake water neck is bigger around then the V6 component.
