The power door locks on my 02 Safari van started going crazy the other day.
I could hear it locking randomly while it sat there in the driveway.
I checked the key fob and found a leaky battery. Goo all throughout.
Took out the battery an cleaned it up... The van was still randomly locking itself in the driveway.
With the new battery, sometimes it works but if I press the button for the hatch (Dutch doors) it will lock every time.
I wonder if it started with the key fob... Could it be a fried relay?
Anyway... anyone had this issue?
Thanks

Re: Power Door Locks Going Crazy
UPDATE...
Well I don't think it had anything to do with the key fob or the relays. I tried a lot of different things looking for consistency. The only thing that was consistent was when I tried to open the rear hatch (Dutch doors) it would lock everything... every time.
We had been having a lot of rain... and when I lifted the hatch it sounded like there was water inside.
What I did was wiggle the cable harnesses in and out on both top and bottom doors and it seemed to help. After a few dry days it seems the problem has gone away.
