Application: 2004-2007 Express,Savana 2500 & 3500
Generation III Vortec 6000 Engine, RPO 'LQ4', VIN 'U'

The PCV system should be checked or replaced regularly to prevent oil seal leaks, and oil consumption.

PCV tube and vent hose replacement
  1. Remove the engine cover.
  2. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) tube from the intake manifold and valve rocker arm cover.

  3. Remove the vent hose from the throttle body and the valve rocker arm cover.

  4. Replace the hose/tube as necessary.
