Escalade Front?
Just curious on what your guys thoughts are...is it played out? Let's say you got it for free, would you put it on? Who likes the looks? Do you think the cadi lights are superior to the stock astros? Comments, concerns? And which style do you think looks better...

I like 'em ... but they have both been done so many times... I saw somebody working on a Camastro somewhere... looked like it might be cool...

I like both, but version 1 looks almost factory. . .
I've seen version 2 alot, but #1 seems to have less work involved.

Re: Escalade Front?
the caddy ones look good on some colors. some look stock and some look a little too 'pimp' for my liking.
I like this one (without sitting on the ground)
other than the caddy, I like the ones that guys have somehow incorporated the new Colorado front ends.. man I wish I had the skills to do such a thing..

Everyone here knows my veiws about the "Bug-Face" front end, I admire all the hard work and fabrication that goes into grafting it onto an Astro, but it just makes the van look like a Huge 'Bug on Steroids'....... > jus` not my style.

I agree but that black one you have to admit looks really really good. I think the retainment of the stock side steps really helped tie it together.SoCalli V8 wrote:Everyone here knows my veiws about the "Bug-Face" front end, I admire all the hard work and fabrication that goes into grafting it onto an Astro, but it just makes the van look like a Huge 'Bug on Steroids'....... > jus` not my style.

Re: Escalade Front?
In my opinion... I thnk that they would look better than most out there do if the owner stuck with a Caddy color, be it pearl white, black, dark metallic red, dark metallic green etc... seems that because people are changing the front to look like an escalade that they feel the need to pimp it. hell a stock escalade in ANY of those colors in the pics that were posted would look as out of place as those astros ... follow what i'm saying?
I like the 99-00 escalade front ends more than the newer 00-present front ends. I've never seen that swap done. I think it'd look more appropriate on a 'stro
hold up.. that is one in the first pic.. hmm... got any more pics of that one with the hood down?
you guys are freakin' me out. the more i'm looking at all these pics the more i'm in agreement with socali... those headlights are HUGE on the front of a stro.. i'm going to have to rethink my position on this one.. for now i'm leaning to the look of the colorado ...

Re: Escalade Front?
I like the caddy front end if it wasn't so expensive I would do it. I just cant justify spending that much on a front end when I got the whole van for $450.

Re: Escalade Front?
I like Darren's however I wouldnt do it on mine cause I went the other way, lifted. I like version 1 VERY much. Makes me think about how it would look. I have a Safari so I am used to the lights being together instead of split like the Astro. Seen the OJ one on net before and thought that was sleek looking, again not for lifted rides.

Sorry I need to explain what I mean by pretty - even though the bug face looks puky what is soon is the time and TLC that went into the making. Here where I live with family I cant do that - and it rains so much here :(
Then again living here is why I love doing so much Outdoor stuff
