What a good price for a 350 crate with 44,000 on it? #-o

What year would it be and what comes with it ?

around here a crate motor with that kind of mileage would go for about a grand ( $1000 ) maybe a little more depending on who your dealing with .
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.


DAILY THOUGHT:
SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES - NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.

That's about right Skippy. If it's not a roller, from 800 to 1000,,roller 1200 around this part of the country.

Here in Central Ohio, I looked for a decent 350 for almost a year. I found plenty of 100K+ miles runners for $500 or more, and several "unknown" out-of-vehicle motors for $250-$350 or so.

I settled on a beater that a buddy had that I have known for years. It is ugly, but has a 20K (or less) mile GoodWrench 350 in it. I paid $800 for the whole car, which I felt was too much, but it does have some good parts on it. I drove it home.

I'm going to use the short block, and use everything else off of my TPI 305, and stick it in my '89.
