channellock tool review!

Does the channel lock tool case lock all the sockets and tools in place, or do they all move around when you pick the case up?
I have a craftsmen case that the wrenches fall out of their places and stuff moves around, and I'd like a set of tools, that do not move around in the case.

I agree, everything I have that is craftsman, falls out...socket, hand tool, even all my drill bits in their cases. I got a set of Cresent tools from Costco in a bit case, 100 piece set and the only problem I've had with those are they bit holders. but then the little plastic strips that holds the bits are rubbery so they can slide out fo plastic case. I actually have to firght to get some fo the tool out like the wrenches cause they are so tight....much better than my Craftsman ever was. I'm not sure about the Channellock stuff.

Wow, some one read it! yay!

Yes, the tools all snap in place in the case so that they don't fall out. I imagine you might shake some of them loose if you dropped the case or something but thats never happened with mine.

[-X IF you remember when you bought your Craftsman tool set and took it home and opened it up, all the tools were in plastic bags. The plastic injection formed shell case was meant to be just that ,A CASE. You had to open the plastic bags and sort all the metric and american sockets to their perspective slots. If you have a shop in your basement at home you can open the box[USA label up lol] and its a good storage bin. I don't believe it was meant to be a tote nor ever advertised that way. Craftsman tools [imo] have gone down hill over the years but the 100% exchange is cool although you'll breack alot more sockets today than the ones they made 30 years ago. Look at their toolboxes over the past 20 years, pitiful. Even with a professional box you need socket racks unless ya dig the eyeball method of determining american and metric. The gold series must have been invented for people with more money than sense, impressive as a gold plated toothpick. I use my stuff everyday and have most of my original 1965 era Craftsman stuff. I have lost more than I have broken and lending stuff to friends is even more of a loss. I've found "inital" marks help alot. Craftsman "water pump pliers" are one of the most used tool by Craftsman I have,although I have never changed a water pump with them. i]

That channel lock set looks nice. Pretty much the equivalent of my Master Craft set by the looks of it. Does the set come with a good warranty?

Like my master craft tools are covered with an unlimited lifetime warranty. I've broken a couple of sockets in it now using them with my impact when I shouldn't be and I just walked into crappy tire handed it to the girl at the customer service desk and she goes over to tools grabs another socket and hands to me. Simple as that. No receipt or anything.

I bought a channellock type tool from Sears awhile back.The differance is the more pressure you put on it the tighter it gets.It's not available from Sears anymore and wasn't a craftsman brand name.It is one of the best pair of channellock type I have ever owned.
