Gas and glue

Anyone know of a strong glue that is not effected be gasoline?

Can tank sealant work like glue?

Hair brain ideas afoot.

In a pinch, I used super glue... probably the gap filling variety as that is what I usually have on hand... to repair a hairline crack in the plastic gas tank for my riding mower. I was surprised it worked and I ended up using that tank for two more seasons before finally swapping it out for the replacement I bought. (Good thing it worked too as it took two months to get a replacement tank from Murray!)

JBWELD worked on a gastank for me... did not leak in the first couple months... but sold the ride shortly after.

I'm looking to repair one of the tubes on the fuel pump assembly that the fuel lines connect to. I don't know what kind of plastic it's made of. Also thinking about re-enforcing it by inserting some sort of metal tube inside it before gluing it together. I know that will decrease the ID of the tube a little, not sure if that will hurt anything.

I used the JB Weld on the sending unit of a toyota... metal tubes but same thing...propably work even better on plastic just make sure it is dry when you start and do a couple coats...scuff up the surface first to get the best bond, take your time and dont try and run fuel threw it before it is completly dry.... for added security you could even put some tank putty over it when you are done!
