I was running General Grabber UHP's on my v8 Astro. Reaper has them now. I liked them performance and looks wise. Good in the rain. Useless in snow.

General is just an off brand of Michelin... usually quite good tires.

The other off brand I have really come to like is hercules... they have some nice tread designs and excellent wear characteristics... had them on a couple of vehicles ranging from Mud to street to heavy load ratings... liked them all.

General Tire is now a subsidiary of Continental Tire, a german manufacturer

I have a new set of Grabber AT2 in 235/75-15 waiting to be mounted.
I just need to finish the installation of the 2"-lift-kit first this WE.

I'll post my first impressions in a couple of days....

Pic shows Grabbers on stock wheels.
Ride is surprinsingly quiet.

Had to grind to make them fit.
Pic shows before grinding with plastic-cover already shortened.
I forgot to take a pic afterwards, I'll post one tomorrow..

FYI, I have been running AT2's for the past 6 mths in size 30, 9.5x15 and have found them to be a extremely good tyre, coping admirably in mud and everything I've chucked at them. As mentioned they are also quiet on the road.
Overall a good all terrain tyre and in the UK were heaps cheaper than Goodrich.
