I don't know about removing the window in the slider...It sure is handy at a lot of intersections and what not. I think a person should cover up the glass with cardboard or something and drive around a bit before removing the glass.
I know I would be at a disadvantage if my van didn't have the slider glass.

I remember when my ride looked like that. I was so glad when the paint was finally under way! Can't wait to see the finished product.
As for the windowless door, I'm pretty grateful for mine, and sometimes wish I had one on the driver's side. I love the look of fewer windows, but it makes for more challenging backing up and lane changes. Especially when people like to ride in my blind spot to read the back of my van. ](*,)

hmmm.. do a motorized slider. That way you can open it when you need to see, or throw something at a stupid driver in your blind spot.. (just kidding people)
I kind of like having the window in mine, but, will be going without it in the next couple weeks. That's when the sub enclosure is being put in. Going to pick up new seats today, hopefully he has a non windowed slider also so I can practice driving like that. Shouldn't be too bad though, I haven't seen out anything but the windshield and door windows, in the Beretta, for about a year now.
