Is this normal?

Post by Detectorist »

I went to check my brake fluid level on my recent purchase 2000 Astro Van and found that the fluid container slopes down towards the front making it impossible to fill properly unless I park it on a steep uphill slope. Is this normal or is something bent?

I appreciate your help!

it is so that when you are braking the fluid is level from the momentum

no need to try to park on a hill to fill it as you will be overfilling it :poke:

 LOL That was a good question. Now if you are bleeding the brakes it is nice to have the front jacked up to fill her up :)

don't no if its normal but my 96 safari has the same thing, I had to look at twice and push on it a couple times to verify that it wasn't loose and going to fall off....

Engineers..... :peep: they should hide or at least keep their profession a secret, some day, in a bar or parking lot they'll tell the wrong person that they are an engineer, if its me, I might have to turn around and... :butthead:
