is anyone else having this issue with the forum?

Post by madmanjustice »

I have been seeing a strange issue with the forums but nobody else has said anything about it.

for some reason when i log into the forum the forum addrss changes to http://astrosafari.animegrafx.com/bb/in ... /index.php (notice the extra /bb/index.php at the end of the url.

When this happens all of the image links in the forum are broken until i reduce the URL to http://astrosafari.animegrafx.com/bb/posting.php and refresh, then everything is fine.

I need to know if anyone else is seeing this problem, i want to make sure its not just me (even though I am seeing it on 3 different systems with 2 different user names)

No, I haven't seen that problem.

I'm still occassionally having problems with new posts showing up when I hit the new posts line. I'll get a message showing nothing new but when I look through the individual forums, I find stuff that is new.

wooo...looks like it was a cookie issue on the server. I have it fixed now. At least on my systems. LOL

I'm guessing that I must have been the only one seeing the problem since I know how vocal this group of peeps can be when the forums don't work.

clear your browser cache if you are seeing a similar issue.

Not sure if it was the same problem, but when I was log in in at work, I got just script, no pics and it wouldn't load the new post or any threads for that matter. I closed out, went to another website to check mail, then when I came back, it was fine. Just figured it was a little gliche so I stayed quite. Much more though, and I would have spoken up.

i probably need to go in and extend the timeout, but the login issue is probabaly becaue I had to reset the cookie settings on the server.

There have been a couple of other problems on the forum but I found out what was causing them (ME! LOL) and my host had the issues resolved within an hour of me contacting them. And now I know what not to do, so I don't screw the forum up myself...lol
