Re: Unflip a flip kit!
Hi Mr Singh.
Just came across this post. I live in the UK also (Derbyshire - J29 of M1). In about 4 weeks I am going to fit a flip kit (and dropped spindles) to one of my mates Astro 2WD van. So, I would have thought there should be stock parts available.
I can contact him if you are interested to see what he says.
Andy.

Hi Andy!
Yes please! if you could hold onto the stock pieces that would be great!
If he hasn't already he can buy my flip kit and do a swap?
Cheers!

Re: Unflip a flip kit!
I could be wrong but in the third picture of your vans springs, the one showing the rear of the left side, it looks like the spring is bent right at the shackle. I took a look at my van and the spring isn't at the angle yours looks like it is. This would make the van set lower. Does anyone else think the same? It could just be the angle you took the picture at too.
1989 RS Astro, V-8 and maybe a shift it myself tranny, still deciding on this one. Dutch doors, Cad tail lights, shaving the rest now. 12 bolt rear end was in the van when I got it but changing how it sets to lower.

Mission accomplished thanks to Joe
Thats with around 1000lbs loaded in. Another 2000lbs or so to go in. Will use the Airlift bags to give it some support when it comes down.

Re: Unflip a flip kit!
Hi Am,
so the rear end of your van is stock with 1,000 pounds in it? It doesn't look like it has went down very much. I might have to do this also, I have a huge stereo system going in and I have a flip kit right now. Looks like I'll be changing back to the stock.
keep the updates coming.

Hi Bill
The before pic was with the flip kit install + 1000lbs it was pretty close to being bottomed out and looking like needing a c-notch.
Put the rear back to stock ride height and hey presto I have lots more clearance. It all looks a little exagerated since the front is very low, not going to lift the front.. Want to retain a good stance once all is said and done. The Billet rims are at the polishers being re-done with some Extra Load tyres with a slightly wider and bigger profile, not too much but a decent compromise on things.
