New composite headlights

Post by peter »

Bought these awhile back and had 'em shipped to Midgets house in Fla. Thing is, I don't even remember who I bought 'em from! Duh..

Anyhow, Mark shipped 'em off to me and I received them this week. Pretty cool for $80 US, huh?

Oh, and the darn things even have angel eyes. It's all the rage on the Dodge Charger forum

Also has a lit-up corner piece, unlike the OEM version

Thanks to whoever I bought these from. Far as I'm concerned, I got a great deal \:D/

Installed the lights today. Overall, pretty happy with the quality. Low beams seem to project a "triangular" type of beam. High beams are freakin' awesome, they project really far out and the beam is nice'n white. The whiteness is thanks to the Silverstars, the projection I attribute to the headlamps.
The halos or angel eyes aren't nearly as bright as I'd have liked to have 'em, but they'll do. I wired them up to the parking lamp circuit. When it's dark but not yet black out, I can just apply the parking brake ever so slightly, just enuf to kill the DRL's. Then you get to see the halos...

There's a corner bulb on these headlamps which should be wired to flash along with the small corner flasher bulb on the turn signal lense below the headlamp, but I didn't hook 'em up. Though these bulbs only flash when the headlights are on and the turn signals are applied, they glow continously if you're running on parking lamps. Which woulda detracted from the halos, I think. So I didn't wire them up.
So, whaddaya thinks? Bling bling, or cool?

Well they don't look too bad, not my particular taste( the eh-lo's, lol ) but all that matters is that they light up the road and it sounds like they do, so good score.

We'll have a contest next NECO to see who can blind the other guy first,LOL

I am not too sure on the looks either. Peter, can you get a pic from a distance? Enough to show the whole front end with both lights in the pic.
