The wheel well part actually gets trimmed back as shown in this picture. The same goes for the passenger side and a hole gets drilled to let the coolant overflow bottle to fit in.

Ok, another thing. The plastic piece that has the 2 small screws holding it on and the bottom piece that unscrews with a 10mm nut and has 2 pop rivots holding the the plastic to this bracket, what did you guys do to this part?Just drill a new hole on the van?

And do you need the newer hood cable or will theold one work?

The hood cable will work it is just stretched tight. The holes are already there for the plastic fender extensions.

For anyone still watching this!! Heres the sections fabbed to fit the newer light units to the old core support.

Notice the centre grille section has been removed and moved to the bottom.
Note that the van wasnt harmed in the build process!! No extra holes have been drilled.

This is a view of the drivers side with the light "subframe" built but not cosmetically finished.

This is a view of the passenger side with the metalwork almost completed and tidied up considerably.

I still have to join the 2 together and construct a grille.
Interestingly the lower light units are actually fitted upside down!!! Fit better that way.

Next few days should see this one finshed and painted, then the alternative front end number (with camaro lights) begins construction.

I`m following along Andy, I`m sure that you have some time to work on it over the holidays, providing the weather is halfway decent and not raining.
