Just got off the phone with Chops (Dennis)

Dennis had given us a call last week and we were gone so he left a message, but I needed to talk with him personally before I posted information to all of you folks.

I just got off the phone with him and seems like the end of 08 and beginning of 09 are not doing so well for him. Due to his diabetes and his white blood count being out of whack he lost his vision. He has had some surgeries and procedures done and now has about 70 percent of his vision back in his right eye. Not only has this been dealt to him, but he was just diagnosed with chronic leukemia. The type he has is only controlled by medicine, so he won't need to go through radiation or chemotherapy. Once he is on the medication there is a chance the leukemia will go into remission and he can lead a fairly normal life. He said he just had the bone marrow test and he would have rather had a van fall on him then to have to go through that. He also said two things in life that he had taken for granted were his site and the use of his limbs and he almost lost both of those, now he has a very different outlook on life.

He wanted me to apologize to everyone for not answering PMs about the sale of his van because all of this started during the process of selling the van. I didn't find out who is the new owner of the van or much else about the sale as he was still in the hospital and the Dr had just come back in to speak with him.

He said he would give us a call once he was home ( or back with his mother) and fill us in more. I will keep everyone posted as information becomes available to me.

I know what its like to be hit with medical problems out of the blue , allthough mine weren't as drastic as yours . but i have faith you'll pull through this like a new man !!!!!
