got some more shaving mods done

hey guys,I guess astrosafari is toast for now ,so I thought I'd move some pics over here.Heres some stuff I did the last few days.

I frenched in a liscence plate box and canted it in the rear door
first I cut the hole for the box-

I also shaved the stock tag and handle and mounted a solenoid to open the door

Now the only thing left is the taillights and the rollpan,which I will do soon I hope.All doors,the gas filler,the sliding track and the liscence plate are all shaved now,Tomorrow me and my buddy are gonna build a driveshaft tunnel so when the van lays out it doesnt get binded up on the floor.Gonna buy a tubing bender hopefully in the am

j boy ya I got some pics,I'll dig em up later.I built the skeleton for the driveshaft tunnel today as well.I'll post later ,gotta take off for a while

A welder,plasma and about every common tool help alot.No one taught me very much ,just alot of advice and reading.My buddy told me how to do bodywork basics,plus I read.Another guy showed me how to start welding,then I went form there.I'll tell you from my experience that its way better to do stuff youreself than it is to pay someone to do so.Once you have some major tools(sawzall,welder,plasma/torch,air compressor etc) you can do alot of things.The next tool I want is a tubing bender,a good one,not the pice of junk I bought today for 200 bucks.
