Upgrades for 4.3L?

Whats the Differnce in the W or Z in your vin #?
On my Motor i have Valve covers that says Vortec, How can i find out if it's a true Vortec?
Also what Good upgrades can i do to my Engine?
Alt.,spark plugs,wires,Ect.
TBI 4.3L i have......I bought the van under the impression that the motor was swapped out wit a Vortech motor!

How much do you wanna spend?.....

You can spend $3000 on a OBD2 V8 swap.....

Or $4000 + on modifying your OBD2 V6, which will never give you the kick in the butt as a V8, because it is the increased torque that is the fun factor.

Forget the 4.3 upgrades. If you're serious about more performance do like Darren suggested. And a V8 swap doesn't have to cost $3000.00. If you're good at scrounging you could do it for half that. \:D/

Oh you V8 guys!!!!

V8 is not out of the question!
But what about the Z and W on your vuin?

W in the VIN = Fuel Injection
Z in the VIN = TBI

W is multi-port FI. Z is TBI.
