ah spent some money today.Ordered a smoothe rollpan,a set of taillight fillers, and some flush leds from grant today.Itll be a couple of weeks, but I'll take pics when I get em and install them. The leds are 13 inches and are red with a section of white for the reverse. And they will mold right into the bodywork when I paint it.Cant wait,Im also hoping on tires very soon....

May not mean to much to ya,,but you can save about 30.00 getting those fillers from SD. Grant makes um for SD and not sure how they can sell them for less than Grant. When my fillers arrived there was a Grant decal in the box.

The Grant fillers are ok as far as the shape is concerned but I didn't exspect all the trimming. Not a real big deal but I guess I ground off about 1/4 in. off the top edge so body line would line up. They take some trimming but other than that,,the shape is right on.
You've been doing some fine work,,really enjoying the pics you're posting.

Does anyone know if this body was ever sold and picked up ? If not, someone needs to make a road trip and pic this up. Last I heard it was free due to no rear end tub work done yet.
Shaved including gas door and tag box and think the suicide doors were complete.

hmmmmmm purchase more tools? hmmm the wife would love that! As if all of my carpentry tools are not enough. LOL

Seriously though I would like to get into the welding and fabricating my own stuff for my van. I know from building my own furniture, it is way better to do it yourself, you get exactly what you need for half the price.

Nice work suicide. We could trade I build you some furniture or a computer and you make some stuff for my van! LOL \:D/

I can't get this thing out of my mind that no one has talked about picking up this body Jeramy has. Lots of hours in this thing. It doesn't have a rearend in it last I heard and if that's true, all ya need is a trailer and winch to get er on.

It's a good thing to learn as much as you can when building a car. You just can't hire all that has to be done out.

Read a condensed version of one subject at a time. For instance, if you want to do a small dent repair, read about what's involved and then do a repair. From there you'll have to read up on mig welding. After you get the mig down to where you're comfortable with it, try a patch repair for a rust hole. If you can learn these two things, you can do just about anythinig as far as body repair and mods. that you may want to do. Practice practice practice, patience, patience, patience. Don't rush any job while learning,,if you do, it won't be what you wanted and can be very discouraging to the point of nerve trying it again. Take your time, get it right and enjoy the pleasure of looking at your work after you hit it with primer and seeing how it should look and knowing you did it yourself.
Good luck.

Anybody know who got suicide86's body he was working on. Know it was free at one time. Just curious who the lucky person was who got all this work for free.
