just a common question
I bouht an S-10 recently and the manual shows two different firing orders for the 4.3 one from 85 to 91 and the other from 92 till present. Anyone know why

Re: just a common question
1-6-5-4-3-2
If it's what I'm thinking of, then the caps are different, but the firing order is the same. Put the wires on in the firing order on the traditional looking cap, the flat caps are numbered and redirect the connections into the correct firing order. I could be thinking of something else.
The 2.8 engine has a 1-2-3-4-5-6 firing order.
EDITs: Spelling only

Re: just a common question
You may be confusing the early V6 with the 2.8. The early S 10's didn't have the 4.3.

Re: just a common question
The firing order is 165432. Period.
But on the late model engines with the non adjustable distributors, the cap is formed so the wires are neat and tidy. One side of the cap runs 246, the other 315 from the front. I love this cap. Wish they were all this way.
If the manual lists anything different, it is wrong. Probably showing the 2.8 or something.
