Rear Brake Lines

No I took a short cut. To do it like the factory did you need to drop the tank.

I hate to be bothersome, but can you give me more info on this short cut. It's just that I have the van apart for 4 days now, and it's stressing me out. All of the lines were corroded, and I can't find the flare nuts that fit, so I have to re-use the old rusty ones.

I bought a long roll of line and fished it through the best I could. Since I didn't drop the tank I couldn't use the OEM brackets that held the original brake line. If I recall I couldn't fish the new line above the gas tank brackets.

I have ran the rear brake line out and around the gas tank, like above the driveshaft, and clamped it up. I did remove the plastic from around the tank and put it under there, IIRC. This was an a beater that I was afraid to drop the tank on, the bolts were nothing but rust.

I don't advise doing this, but it works in a pinch on a short term beater.
