I'll start a new post on just this, but for now I'll thow out the length of the 5.9 6bt is about 35" long, and a hefty 900lb just the engine. Torque and HP are right @ 2 to 1 ratio.
Exp. 200hp = 400tq :-k

Some have considered the 4BT due to its smaller size and the fact some applications use the TH350 or 400 (don't recall which).biggreenoger wrote:I'll start a new post on just this, but for now I'll thow out the length of the 5.9 6bt is about 35" long, and a hefty 900lb just the engine. I know a guy who just put a 6BT into his Ford Excursion. It was a reasonable swap since mounts and other parts are available.
Obviously you are in unchartered waters here! Looking forward to the build!

Re: Toyota Supra Motor in Astro Van...
Last time this came up the question was asked if it would be complete with a valve cover mounted cup holder...thinking it was so long that it would be way into the van. I can't wait to see it.

Naw, I think the key is to push the front of the engine forward... maybe make a bump out in the grille!rlsllc wrote:Last time this came up the question was asked if it would be complete with a valve cover mounted cup holder...thinking it was so long that it would be way into the van.
