It has been an annoying two days. Yesterday I discovered that the rear differential on my Sunrunner (Tracker) is leaking, and I don't know where it is leaking from. Today, the power door locks on the Safari stopped working.
It is a '97 with power door locks but not remote entry. Neither of the activator switches for the door locks does anything.
So any ideas what is could be?
My first guess is a blown fuse, but I'm not sure where the door lock fuse is located. Next guess is a broken wire, but what wire would kill both lock switches?
Help would be much appreciated.

According to Mr. Haynes....
....there is a 30A Ckt Brkr that is hot at all times that has an orange wire coming out of it that feeds the door lock relay & control module. The 20A Cig Lighter fuse (fuse 13?) is what the door switches are wired through.
Is the lighter still working?

No, the lighter is not working. It was too dark to get at the fuses when I checked, but that makes for an easy fix.

Well, if the fuse went, and/or the circut breaker, you might have other problems obvously, so be perpaired for some digging....
BUT, if all is well....well, all is well....

The problem was an accessory plugged into the cig-lighter socket. It was shorting out. I heard is arcing when I plugged it into another socket. I will have to tear that apart, but the van wiring should be fine.

I've had the tab break off inside the cig-liter and cause problems.
I was told getting my beauty sleep was a waste of time.

It was the fuse, and what burned it out was an accessory I had plugged into the cig lighter. Someone, probably my son, pulled on it hard enough to pull on of the wires in the plug loose, and it was touching the other one. Easy fix, replace the fuse, and re-solder the plug. Everything is working great now Thanks for the help.
