Hi my name is Jennifer and my fiance and I just bought a 1995 AWD Safari to drive to Alaska so I'm going to be on here a lot fixing her up! Nice to meet you guys!

Welcome to ASV.We will help you on your van.So ask away any questions you need to.There are a number of good ref info in the links section as there is in the search section.You'll find this is the guys and gals that started it all with Astro/Safari vans forum yrs ago and have done it all.So when you post, someone will chime in to cover what ever you need.Just got to give them a chance sometimes.There are women on this forum too,so it's not like you alone.I hope you enjoy your stay.

You'll find lots of great advice for getting your van camping ready,as well as general maint. tips.
Hope you'll share some pics of your trip to Alaska! Truly makes me jealous! Hope someday to tour the Western US ,British Columbia, & North into Alaska! My buddies made this same adventure many years ago,but in a '78 full size Chevy van.

Welcome Jennifer and a couple of thoughts for you.
1st a tranny cooler is probably the best bang for the buck.
2nd shop manuals for your vehicle: GMC if at all possible.

How many posts does it take to lose the "I merely drive my van" tag? It's really irking me because I plan to basically live out of it.

Not too long. I think mine ahs changed since i been on here and i have only had my van (and been on the site) since may?? of this year.
1999 Safari SLE. Stock. Proud owner since May 2010. So far I love it..
