I think you're doing very well. My '87 gets 12-14 in town and about 19 on the interstate!

You listed the exact items I use my Astro for as well! Welcome to the forum, great people and info here, nice to have you along. Let me know if you'd like to give an extra bit of travel to your suspension as well as an added appearance.

Nice FE numbers but please do tell the secret to the 25mpg on the highway. I am lucky to be getting 19mpg at 70 or 75 mph it doesn't matter.

my 87 gets 18mpg around town and usually 22+ on the highway. Only last long trip I had a strong tailwind and drafted behind a semi and got over 25mpg on that leg of the trip.

Welcome aboard!!...I'm new too!

my old wagon gets 17mpg combined at best....its slowly climbing as i get the engine cleaner and cleaner.....just got done with front end overhaul....new upr/lwr ctrl arm bushes, lwr balljoints, 1 upr balljoint, new springs, upr/lwr spring insulators, new shocks...WOW what a difference....very different ride, turning, less body roll....went with all MOOG parts....good quality parts.

I seem to have an addiction to spending money on this old van!? :D
