I have been monitoring the board since I got the reply from the host. The speed has been excellent most of the time and pretty good the rest of the time.

If it stays like this there wont be any problems.
I have a ban hammer and I ain't fraid to use it!

Peter, because the internet was not around (like it is today) when the language laws of Bill 101 were being written, the Quebec Gov't had to introduce subsections to Bill 101 which would cover this newer technology.

Subsection 201b deals with the internet and all future forms of communication.

" All businesses operating out of the Province of Quebec must comply with the language laws of bill 101, in the case of sources coming into the Province of Quebec through the Internet, all sites must 1st be subjected to
Translation into the French language, then if the site is not of commercial purpose, the information will then be released to the recipient in the form (language) that it was 1st introduced)

This may possibly cause slowdowns for Internet users within the Province of Quebec, however the algorithims used in the translation service are among the quickest and most secure that are in use today.

Most likely this is what caused your time-out,it probably had little to do with the sites speed, zam

Naw, just bustin on ya, Time to get off the dial-up and switch to cable modem my friend,LOL

It just suddenly slowed way down for me. Still not as slow as it has been, but certainly made me feel like I was back on dialup.

Slow here, too.
Sigh, it was too good to last I guess.
