1991 Astro throwing a code 32 And 54???

So i just replaced my steering column today so I Would have blinkers and a working ignition. Well before I did the switch the code 32 keeps coming up which is EGR valve but this code 54 just came up after the switch. What would cause this 54?

Code 54 is for low voltage to fuel pump. Try swapping the fuel pump relay with another relay and see if it goes away. I think the relay is on the passenger side fire wall and the fan high speed is right next to it. Swap them for a trial.

Check the battery voltage, too. You might just have some filthy terminals.
