Yes they did...

A very slow motorized door that makes getting in and out of the back seat near impossible.

Way to Go Peugeot!!!

Be that as it may, it's great for tight parking stalls or getting out on narrow (French) streets.

That car was a huge failure because of the back seat issue. The other neat thing about that car is all the interior trim pieces can be changed out easily to change the colour. Plus the centre of the steering wheel stays still when you turn.
