Last Dance for Whitney Houston, Dead at 48
CNN reports that Ray J, who was once involved in a relationship with Whitney Houston, found her dead body in a room at the Beverly Hilton hotel. However, Fox TV celebrity journalist Flo Anthony says Houston's brother Michael found her in the bathtub. Attempts to resuscitate the singer were made by emergency personnel but she did not respond. Her body still remains at the hotel. Beverly Hills Police Lt. Mark Rosen said that Houston was pronounced dead 3:55PM PST in her room on the fourth floor. "There were no obvious signs of any criminal intent at this time," Rosen states.

Is that a little cruel because it seems that she has already checked out.astroturf wrote:Well of course it does... It's not check out time yet.MrJames wrote:Her body still remains at the hotel.

Yes, it's sad........BUT, it never ceases to amaze me how some celebs, who seem to have everything, turn to drugs and kill themselves.

+1
Can't understand it either. I've never been one for drugs, I don't like being out of control. I much prefer the endorphins and adrenaline of a good ride or paddle or hockey game. I'd rather explore the mountians, rivers, and seas in the van, on the enduro, the mountain bikes, or kayaks, not via a mind altering drug while stuck in a hotel room somewhere.
Apperantly Mathew McConaughey likes to take off for a 3 or 4 week hike once a year. Has a friend drop him off somewhere in South America and just goes traveling to see what's out there. That's cool.

Celebs aren't some kind of super-humans. They're just regular people with skeletons like us. Add to that access to a lot of money , and constantly having to perform, and you have a volatile mix. I certainly don't envy them.
