Simple idea - potential MPG increase

I have tried this myself on my '96 Astro, No concrete results yet but some interesting things happening with my multimeter. I ran the wire into my coolant reservoir and gradually saw an increase in voltage at the battery. The coolant also held a charge of 2 volts for about 5 minutes gradually tapering off. I ran the van for a few minutes untill the voltage climbed and added fresh water to the reservoir and the voltage at the battery dropped a volt with the van running. I figured with the cumulative knowledge on this site we may be able to explain the results? It would also be great if others would try it and share there result if any? I figure worst case we end up with a really good ground to the block? In the vid he says it wont work on post '83 but i have a theory that the ecm may just have to relearn the fuel mixture?

I am sure what is happening is you are making your Coolant more dangerous than it already is.
What is happening here is when you set a charge on Distilled water or water with certain Princables
it will start to gain and hold a charge as the pos and neg will start to work together and seprate.

This is what is happening in your battery all the time. as you can fill a dead battery with distilled water
and it will start to hold a charge again. but you make acid and bad gases. Might not be good to do because it you are sending
Charged atoms into you engine you could start interanel rust and other issues.

Drill a hole in the inlet pipe just pass the MAS.Get a rod and sharpen one end of it.















Insert a unpeeled carrot in the inlet pipe with the pointed end towards the air inlet and jam the rod threw the center of the carrot.It's important that the carrot is unpeeled.















The rough surface of the carrot with force it to wiggle back and forth with the air rushing pass it creating turbulence which creates better gas mileage.You get about 100 miles per carrot and then you have to replace it.















Oh yeah-we aren't sure......................but suspect the carrot juice also has a effect.

I think the carrot theory has a better chance of increasing g your mileage. That car probably gets 450 km to a tank ( my sister had a similar Toyota ) so a increase of 200k on a tank would be a near 50% increase in mileage. I'm going to call bull plop. The only thing I can think is that by hooking your negitive to the coolant you might slow down electrolysis in the heater core.

a carrot hey! does it help if it is organic? I have done a little more reading and I think I am pretty much turning the radiator into a weak battery? I also read about hydrogen embrittlement so if there is any truth to the HHO theory then it could cause any hardened steel to become brittle over time... would have to save a ton of gas to pay for the damage that could cause!

That's what i am working on now been practicing all week and the gas gauge has barely moved =D>

Remember, one tank means nothing.

Also, complete fill ups are the only way to truly track your numbers.

I use a ScanGaugeII in Green and an UltraGauge in Grumpy, both really help me reign in my heavy foot to increase my mileage.
