Since April I've only had one bowl of ice cream, other than one week vacation in Chelan where we had it every nite.

I've discoverred that i'm insulin resistant, so carbohydrates and sugar give me a super insulin spike that then makes me store fat instead of burn fat.

So I cut out sugars and lowerred my carbohydrate intake and lost 55 pounds. Phyeew. A few more weeks and I'll bea able to reset my pancreas...and then resume a low(er) carb normal diet. Then ice cream.

No doubt, Gaay, sometimes you just got to reach out for what you want and grab it.

After not having ice cream for 3 months, I had some Tillamook Vanilla Bean and could not beleive how creamy it was. I had to have a second bowl. Wow.

Also, have you heard about the www.diabeteswarrior.com ? With my very limited knowledge of diabetes, personally, I do think he is on to something.

Glad to see some more ice cream-aholics. At my last annual physical the Doc said I should cut back on the sweets. Is that even possible? Ice cream is my biggest weakness. There's no hope. I'm such a wimp. Sorry Doc....if something is going to kill me it really should be ice cream. :muhaha:

So I was making some pretty wild guesses as too WTF Gary was refering too, before I read more. Lol..
Enjoy It Gary. We only live one, and like the man said, if your gonna die, death by ice cream sounds like a great way to go...

Gary, if you are interested and have the capability to make your own sugar free, (but with lots of healthy fat) ice cream, there is a suppossedly kickin recipe somewhere on EatingAcademy.com
