I paid in the 900's (tax in) for the same tire (30x9.5) at Costco. It came with a nice "road hazard" guarantee though which definitely came in handy.

Went to the junkyard. Spent 20 bucks and came back with a set of window ledges with lights in them, a compartment with the GMC truck logo engraved in it, and some pieces for my cadillac.

Had the check engine, brake, ABS, and air bag lights go on in the van today. I'm thinking moisture got into the VSS harness. It will be going to the mechanic this week to check it out.

Yesterday, I bought a pair of brand new Firestone Winterforce Tires (225-70-15) for the front of my van,
and I got my 235-75-15 goodyear wrangler territory tires put onto the back while I was there. All set now.
This morning I see my first snowfall. I'm excited !! I think when I'm done this coffee, I will go for a drive !

Cuz I have the big 235 nobbies in hand, but that size wont fit the front of my GT daily driver with out major rubbing, and I only wanted to buy 2 new tires, but real good snow & black ice tires, for the front so I can steer good. Last year was a lesson about ice. Drifted across the highway on ice at 50kmh one day, lucky no oncoming traffic. Another day I Bent a rim, needed an alignment etc. But, I dont like to drive my 1987 4x4 as a DD or in the f'ing salt they thow all over the place in the winter either. Plus I wouldnt want it to get creamed by some looser being a dipsh#t on the ice. My GT is more expendable and does the daily driver routine. If you saw it you might also ask my why the rims up front of my black van are silver 8 spoke, but the rims out back are Blue 8 spoke. Lol.
Cuz, it aint the fashion, its the function that really counts.

I worked for 3 hours on my astro got it to start and run for a few minutes and then it would not start again so I need to do some rerouting of the vacuum lines. I have work to finish but today was a busy day. Hopefully I will have my 89 Astro RS back on the road soon.

Installed a new exhaust system... Extension pipe, muffler and tailpipe. She's nice and quiet now. Also changed the rear diff oil to Mobil 1 and replaced the entire diff cover plate since a new plate with gasket was only 10.95.
Also washed her!
Tomorrow we go to the cabin for a week.

Ordered complete tune-up parts from Rock Auto. Getting under 13 mpg right now and it's not even cold out yet! Ordered AC Delco plugs, wires, cap and rotor.
