Theft Deterent Code / Engine won't run for more than a sec

Drove home last night and parked the van, went out this morning and it wouldn't start.
Wants to, but will only run a second or so. Mechanic came by later this afternoon and plugged in his scan tool.
Theft/ security deterent related code. Cleared it and came back as soon as we tried to start again.
Anyone have any info or input ?

What happened ? What was your fix ?

First thing would be to see if a previous owner installed an alarm, if not properly installed or the memory of the new sensor is lost can cause these problems. To fix either remove the alarm or remote start sensors or reprogram them
